About Nurunjema Nursery School
Nurunjema Nursery is a nurturing and educational environment for young children, aged two and half years to five years. We provide a stimulating and safe space where children can learn, grow, and explore their creativity. Our dedicated teachers use a variety of play-based learning activities to foster cognitive, social, and emotional development. At Nurunjema Nursery, we believe in fostering a love of learning in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Nurunjema Nursery School offers a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for academic success and lifelong learning. With our low teacher-to-child ratios , we ensure every child receives the personalized attention they deserve. Children participate in educational trips within Dar es Salaam and even venture further afield, broadening their horizons. They also enjoy interacting with visitors who come to the school.

Extracurricular Activities
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
At our school, we recognize that physical development is just as crucial as academic achievement. That's why we've integrated specialist games coaching into our curriculum, starting from Nursery School. This program ensures all children, including those in preparatory classes, can participate in a fun and engaging way when their development allows them to benefit most. Through age-appropriate activities and games led by our expert coaches, children develop not only their gross motor skills like running and jumping, but also their coordination, balance, and agility. This strong foundation sets them up for success in all areas of learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
Music and Drama
At Nurunjema Nursery School creative arts form a very important part of life . In addition to the many opportunities for performance work within lessons such as English, Music and Drama, our pupils are given many chances to perform in public, both formally and informally.
Each year group takes part in a major production at least once a year. Pupils usually perform at the different events such as graduations, which offers such wonderful opportunities for our younger pupils to be involved in music and drama and to perform in front of parents and other guests.
Nursery students produce a full scale musical which forms part of their Music and Drama curriculum, and draws on all the theatre skills they have developed over their time with us. Throughout the year, there are many performance opportunities for these musicians, including form concerts, graduations, Friday assemblies and our annual school concert in which all members of the school take part.
